Friday 24th - Looking for Lech (in Gdansk)

We enjoyed Gdansk, even though we didn't find Lech. We went down to the ship building yard and saw the famous gates, memorials, & exhibition - It's hard to imagine what was going on as recent as the 1980's & now Gdansk is a tourist destination. Lot's of people about but they don't seem that interested in the architecture or the cities heritage. Picture of the building (a converted granary) with an old Merc & valet outside is our hotel. All the civic buildings & churches seemed to be closed to visitors because they are undergoing restoration. Must go , need to sample some more beer from the micro brewery.
